Convert HEIC to PNG
Convert iPhone HEIC photos to lossless PNG — ideal for editing, screenshots and graphics.
When PNG is the right choice
PNG is a lossless format: it reproduces every pixel exactly, with no compression artefacts. Choose it over JPG when you are going to edit the image further, when it contains sharp text or screenshots, or when you need transparency support. The trade-off is file size — a PNG of a photo is typically several times larger than the equivalent JPG.
If your goal is simply to share or upload a photo that a site won’t accept as HEIC, JPG is usually the better pick. If you need pristine quality for editing or design work, PNG is the one.
How it works
Drop your HEIC files above and they’re decoded locally with libheif and re-saved as PNG. Because PNG is lossless, there’s no quality slider — every conversion preserves full detail. Grab each file individually or download the whole set as a ZIP.
100% private, no server
Every image is processed inside your browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and the tool keeps working even if you switch your Wi-Fi off after the page loads. That makes it safe for sensitive photos, documents and screenshots.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my PNG bigger than the original HEIC?
HEIC uses modern, highly efficient compression, while PNG is lossless and uncompressed by comparison. A larger PNG is expected — it is the price of keeping every pixel intact.
Does HEIC to PNG keep transparency?
Standard iPhone photos are fully opaque, so there is no transparency to keep. If a HEIC file does contain an alpha channel, it is preserved in the PNG output.
Is PNG or JPG better for sharing iPhone photos?
For everyday sharing and uploads, JPG is smaller and universally accepted. Use PNG when you need lossless quality for editing, design or screenshots.
